Lawrence Kasdan To Pen Indiana Jones 4?

Lawrence Kasdan has been the prolific writer behind such films as Indiana Jones and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, but oddly enough, he has never worked with Harrison Ford.

Since the last installment of the Indiana Jones films - Indiana Jones and the last crusade - it has been 16 years that Lucas and Spielberg have been trying to come up with a good enough story line to continue the franchise.

Then why is it that Lawrence Kasdan who has so well-written these parts for Harrison Ford, is not put back in charge of putting the finishing touches to Indian Jones 4?

Frank Darabont who was brought in to pen out a umpteenth version of the script felt that he had done a solid job until George Lucas decided against it. You would think that the scribe who gave us Shawshank Redemption could write better material than Revenge of the Sith.

"This is what happens. Producers, often than not, get into these positions of power where they want to write-direct-edit and sometimes even act in their own projects," offered James Globins of free Hamburg entertainment.

Kasdan has had man box-office hits starting with the Big Chill, and followed by such films as The Accident Tourist, French Kiss.

"He hasn't had a hit since French Kiss. His last two films Mumford and Dreamcatcher were both very quiet and we're waiting to see what Risk Pool is going to do at the box-office."

What made the Indiana Jones series so great was the relationships between the characters and that's a key strength in any filmmaker. Relationships should always take front seat in any story and that's a mistake that many Hollywood films make. They overwhelm the audience with special effects and don't give them enough of what they went to the theatre for in the first place.

And please don't get me wrong, a film that concentrates and highlights the relationships between the characters doesn't have to fall into the "chick flick" category. 2005 has been a great year for those films that transcend categories and still prove that character and story are number one priorities. See Crash, Machiavelli Hangman, Sideways.

Indiana Jones 4 has to understand the dynamics of those great films and keep up with the present-day audiences. After so many years, Indiana Jones has to stretch or it'll fall flat on his face.

Outsourcing:A Major Move to India for IBM

In a completely "stunning example", from doing back-office work for US and European firms, India has progressed to become a "centre for leading-edge innovation", prompting IBM to move all its business consulting design and development to India.

In a recent issue of Information Week, Paul McDougal writes about how IBM is gearing up to spend $200 million this year for the launching of its Indian centre, that will be responsible for handling the bulk of solutions development work for IBM worldwide, while its two existing development centres in India will play supporting roles. McDougal quotes Jeby Cherian, Head of IBM's new Global Solutions Delivery Centre in Bangalore, as saying: "Until this, we depended on any number of solution development centres across the globe. We're moving all of that development to India."

Cherian says, employees at IBM's new Indian centre will look to innovate and brainstorm as how best to combine IBM's vast array of hardware, software, and services products into pre-packaged offerings that their consultants can sell to specific industries. And, teams at the new centre will work on designing a system that will use telemetry devices, embedded processors and mathematical algorithms to help auto-makers better predict and manage warranty claim costs. As well, they will create systems that can work in so-called service-oriented architectures (SOAs), SOAs that feature reusable software components and applications that can be combined and re-combined in numerous ways. Currently, this work is being done at IBM's US and locations elsewhere in the world.

Confirming existing delivery centres outside India will not be closed, IBM says they will instead be "remapped" into demo centres, or as Cherian says: "They will become more customer-facing." Although, Information Week feels IBM's decision to off-shore virtually all its consulting offerings of design and development is sure to draw heat from critics, who believe American corporations should keep jobs, especially ones at this level in America, it has not deterred IBM's "hiring spree" in India, where it currently employs about 39,000 workers in the country, up from 23,000 a year ago.

Amitabh Ray, who runs IBM's global delivery operations in India, tells Information Week, the rate of growth will continue "for quite some time". If IBM's hiring spree in India continues as predicted, it will have more than 60,000 workers or about 20% of its worldwide workforce in India, by next year. While, it has 150,000 workers in USA, recent months have seen IBM quietly eliminating a number of domestic positions.

And, according to Ray, IBM's decision to shift its business solutions development to India will prove highly advantageous for the American company, but by extension its customers, as well. Not only will the move to India help lower costs, but greater centralisation will speed design and innovation. "In the previous model, these solutions were splintered across a number of development centres. We can get cross-visibility; something that's applicable in retail might be applicable in automotive." he went on to say.

IBM hopes its current initiative will give sales a badly needed boost, as the company's software revenues were rather flat in the last quarter, while service sales fell by five percent.

As India grows from strength to strength, the time has not come for it to rest on its laurels; instead the sub-continent should work on retaining its dominant edge.

Significance of a Betel leaf in Indian weddings

"Patram, pushpam, phalam, thoyam, yo me Bhaktya Prayacchati, Tadaham Bhaktyupahritamasanami Prayata Manah"

So says the Lord in the Gita.

"Whoever offers a leaf, flower, a fruit or even water with devotion, that I accept lovingly; offered as it is with a loving heart."

From time immemorial, Hindus have worshipped trees and have considered all flora and fauna as sacred. Trees, plants, leaves, flowers and fruit have an esteemed position in the religion and culture of India. So much so that no religious function especially Indian matrimonial is considered complete without the presence of at least one of the above. Leaves like the betel, banana, mango, Neem, tulsi, durva are intrinsically woven into the tapestry of Indian weddings.

The betel leaf enjoys the pride of place among all the accessories of a Hindu wedding. The betel leaf denotes freshness and prosperity. Betel leaves or the tambool, which comprises betel leaf, areca nut and lime, marks the beginnings of all auspicious events. In Indian matrimonial, alliances are sealed by exchanging the tambool. Invitations for an Indian marriage are distributed with tambool forming an important part of the invite. The betel is associated with the Trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Brahma: arecanut, Vishnu: betel leaf, and Shiva: lime.

The grooms' party is welcomed with betel leaves and every event in the wedding is solemnized with betel leaves. The tambool is the minimum and essential part of hospitality in every Indian wedding.

In some weddings, a betel leaf is tucked into the headgear of the bride and groom.

In certain regions the groom's mother or sister gives a ceremonial welcome to the bride. Seven cups are placed on a platter along with fruits, betel leaves, rice, sacred ash, turmeric, salt, tamarind and cotton. A measuring cup is filled with paddy and a betel leaf is placed on it. This is called the 'nirai nazhi'. Water is placed in a vessel and the bride stands facing the east. The person performing the ceremony touches the seven cups three times and puts sacred ash on herself and on the bride. After this is done twenty one times, the bride is given a betel leaf and water is poured on it. The person conducting the ceremony touches the leaf to her forehead giving her a ceremonial welcome.

In yet another ritual comprising the betel, the girl's brother gives the ceremonial first betel to the couple to chew . This ritual is the thaamboola charvanam.

Betel leaves along with coconut or fruit are given as a token of thanks to every guest attending the wedding.

New Knowledge Process Outsourcing business of India

The big companies can take benefit of India's Software Outsourcing hub, with the phrase business process outsourcing (BPO) to the founder of frowns. I think India's software development is a new generation", which is challenge for the cyber coolie label given by global BPO sector and due to offering of more and significant specialized service called Knowledge Process Outsourcing. Serious shortage of teachers by quality in the America predicts the flow of big-time federal funds with online education so one can say that the potential of KPO is huge one.

Indeed, with the hype surrounding for BPO sector in India continues; undoubtedly there is a realization among Business Process Outsourcing organizations in India for low value-added outsourcing work of back office, like call centers that is voice-based or medical transcription would not continue to fetch the margin of profit they had hoped with that. High staff attrition, which lead to hike of wages, coupled with over-supply of BPO firms in the nation has led pricing pressure to downward, for remaining profitable such as earlier days, Offshore Outsourcing India have to start offering niche market services that needed vertical domain expertise India could emerge as a global Knowledge Process Outsourcing hub as the enterprises need specialized and significant knowledge with respective or vertical nation's engineering institute or technical ones. These are geared to address the human resources (HR-Outsourcing) manpower demand.

For Outsourcing of Equity Market research, more significantly the service provider and IP ready to grab the biggest chunk of the global KPO hub or pie. At the time of year 2011, the real size of the Knowledge Process Outsourcing industry would be worth more than 17 billion dollar through out the world, with this India is going to capture grater than 70 % of international market, which will represents 40 % of the nations Business Process Outsourcing revenues .But the question is that what is KPO and how does one can differentiate it from BPO? Generally it involves Offshore Outsourcing of knowledge related of intensive business related processes that need specialized expertise by delivering very significant value to company with provision of expertise in the respective business. If one wants to know the examples of KPO, likes of Online Teaching, Patent Filing, valuation research, investment research, Legal and insurance claims processing, media content supply etc.

Business Process Outsourcing is differentiated by involvement of pre-defined way of handling the process of business that is taught to employees or agents. It generally includes transaction processing, by setting up a bank account, like of selling an insurance policy, technical support, voice and email-based support. While KPO services could enable business unit to decrease design to market lead times; manage critical hardware with efficiency; to provide research on markets, competitions, products and services; enhance organization effectiveness in business administration all of which help in dealing with rapidly evolving business scenarios. The real chunk of the value creation pie goes to the KPO service vendors and employees working in those KPO outfits. Thus it presents a huge opportunity for India with generation of employment and creation of wealth that will lead to an increase jobs by number in the KPO industry itself from the 26,000 currently to more than 250,000 by year 2010.

For Knowledge Process Outsourcing India is not only one nation, it has tough competition with Russia, the Czech Republic, China, Ireland and Israel. And although none of these nations could boost human resource and talent levels as great as India, China is in queue to grab a larger share of culturally similar markets such as Japan, Korea and. Russia, with the third-largest army of doctors and engineers and globally, well it could be the front leader to capture the European market of KPO.

National Association of Software Services Companies-NASSCOM, the IT Outsourcing industry lobby, online tutoring forms just a small segment of market for India's business of KPO; within the sector of KPO the financial process outsourcing is in fact witnessing explosive growth. Globally top twelve investment banks have captive operations of doing high end analysis work in India, employing more than 1,200 people and expected to go up to about 6000 in some of next few years. Healthcare, clinical trials and drugs research, design & development, biotech, legal support, R&D, and animation & graphics in the entertainment sector are some of areas with significant scope and potential for Knowledge Process Outsourcing. Still there are so many opportunities presents in KPO.

The Indian Offshore Outsourcing industry's shift to the "more value-added" or based KPO is not rapidly happening as some of the main Indian Business Process Outsourcing firms have been slow to react. Wipro had been very slow in restructuring of the BPO business, but now its moving focus away from voice-based activities, said chairman of Wipro Company.

Big Drum: Small World

Big Drum: Small World
Technofied, groove-intensive Asian crossover sounds for the '00s, Big Drum: Small World showcases the dynamic Dhol Foundation weaving its Punjabi drum magic within a cavalcade of beats, keyboards, flutes, vocals, and strings both acoustic and synthetic. The group is lead by Johnny Kalsi, who is currently a principal drummer in Afro Celt Sound System, and who has also played with Transglobal Underground, Asian Dub Foundation, and Talvin Singh. This CD by no means attempts to be a purist effort, or, conversely, to jump on a bandwagon of sampling Indian instruments and then regurgitating them in digital dance form. The results are somewhere in the middle, with the group's live playing interacting with programmed elements. As electro-organic bhangra-style dance, this music can be intense. Some repetitive sections scream out for greater motion, while others are balanced nicely between the organic and the electronic. A couple of tracks even offer gritty bursts of electric guitar. On the whole, the recorded output by Dhol Foundation is pretty good, although their live performances are probably more smoking. The album includes notable guest appearances by like-minded world crossover artists: British-based Egyptian singer Natacha Atlas appears on "Shin the Mechanic" and "Tere Bina," while "Iridian" sounds like uncredited samples of Afro Celt Sound System. --Bryan Reesman

Patents In India - Interpreting The Claim Language

To get acquainted with the patent claim drafting is a difficult task and the general trend prevailing during the examination process and the court?s observation has to be analyzed and understood before one start writing claims for a patent.

Claims must be read or construed in the light of, or in connection with claim language, the specifications and the prosecution history.

The meaning of the claims in issue must be determined by a study of all relevant patent documents. The relevant patent documents include the intrinsic evidence of claim language, specification and prosecution history.

Claim Language: It is that language that the patentee chose to use to make a distinct claim over the subject matter of the invention. A claim is never a specification embodiment, but a separate body which extends the scope of protection. The ordinary language of the claims can be attributed to that of a person skilled in relevant art. Hence a claim language must disclose a single and clear definition of claim scope,

Specification: It is ideal for the presiding officers to interpret the claims to consult the specifications and prosecution history to understand the meaning of the terms to one of skill in the art at the time of invention. The proper examination of the claims, the specification, and the prosecution history would serve as the tools for the proper interpretation of the claims.

Specification as such can be best treated as a dictionary as it provides the explicit and implicit meanings of claim terms and it is the best guide to the meaning of a disputed term. From popular cases like Grain Processing Corp. v. American Maize-Products Co. and Teledyne McCormick Selph v. U. S., it is evidently clear that patent claims are to be construed in the light of the specifications and both are to be read with a view to ascertaining the invention. The patent specifications must be looked to in the interpretive process of ascertaining the scope of the claimed invention. (U.S.--Interdent Corp. v. U. S.(1976)),

Prosecution History: Prosecution history can provide clarification regarding the patentee's understanding of the invention and can be of primary significance in construing the scope and meaning of claim terms. The prior art contains express definitions of claim terms that are considered highly pertinent during prosecution, these definitions may override the ordinary meaning of claim language.

Apart from above some external factors such as all evidence external to the patent and prosecution history, including expert and inventor testimony, dictionaries, and leaned treatises. This evidence may be helpful to explain scientific principles, the meaning of technical terms, and terms of art that appear in the patent and prosecution history. In case the dependence on the evidences like claim language, specification, prosecution history fails to tell the meaning it would be ideal to go for the external evidences like expert testimony, inventor testimony, prior art mentioned in the records, publication and speeches to provide the meaning. The other external evidences like admissions in discovery responses, internal documents and scientific publications. Technical treatises and dictionaries can not be categorized as patent documents but for better understanding they used to be consulted. Still their significance is not enough to override the evidences like claim language, specification and prosecution history to interpret a claim. So far as patent specification acts as a dictionary it defines terms used in the claims and as stated above the specification is the best guide to the meaning of a disputed term.

A clear message is conveyed to the inventors to make their claim more unambiguous, plain speaking, meant to protect the scope of their invention at any cost. Hence precautions have to be taken by them while they write specifications and claims. They have to be aware of the principles taken into account while construing the claim language which otherwise may damage the chances for a prospective patent.

Cotton Long Scarf Tie Dye Print Rectangular Womens Accessory 88 inches x 40 inches (dup289)
Cotton Long scarf in tie dye print serve multiple purposes. It is an important part of the sundresses during summer season in India. It is light in weight and soaks sweat well. Colorful print on these scarves also makes them look very elegant. In summer, women in India generally wear light shade dresses. Block or tie and dye print scarves add a bit of color to otherwise very light dresses. Besides, these cotton scarves can alternate very well as sarongs for beach wear.

Indian cotton scarf is often long and narrow, usually worn on or near the head, for warmth, fashion, cleanliness, or religious purposes. In dry, dusty climates, or in environments where there is a lot of airborne contaminants, a thin scarf is often worn over the head to keep the hair clean. Over time, this custom has evolved into a fashionable item in many cultures, particularly among women. Scarves in India have a significant place and traditional value. They are significant because they are considered a protector of women's integrity. Women's outfit in India is considered incomplete without a long scarf. The fabric of a scarf can be cotton, chiffon, georgette, silk, net or sometimes mixed too. These are integral parts of the salwar kurta, lehenga, and churidar. With cultural exposure from Europe, these scarves found their way to the western wardrobes too.

Corporate Responsibility to Society with Special Reference to Rural Indians

The article highlights the need for purchasing power by rural Indians especially in the context of wide FDI's which set up / comming up in India.we know that the traditional market place are increasingly being replaced with the departmental stores, super markets and speciality stores. The lifestyles of the economy class are increasing, but the average rural Indians earnings are still the same.

People of rural India need information and decision making for their better day to day operations, which will improve their quality of life and also empower them.FDI's are shaping the country's economic scenario, but do this mean that the retail stores are set up only for the economy class. In India, the rate of items in any retail stores are so high and a common layman cannot even dream of buying a product. The government is promoting the retail stores in India, without keeping in mind the income of the rural Indians.

In terms of GDP,we are comparing with Chinas's GDP,but see the standard of living in China and the Indian rural people. The Government has created the NREGA Bill, but does it mean that all the people residing in rural India are benefitting from this scheme.I do think that this scheme has benefitted the pocket of many politicians & State Government officials.Time has come for the government to open the eyes and see this all, rather than providing good lifestyle only for the certain class of the society.

Rural India consumes 56% of the FMCG demands and we have got quite lot of Indian FMCG Companies, but still lot of FDI's are pouring in India. What I suggest is that let the Government see the living standard of the rural India, upgrade them and chalk out potential opportunities for any MNC's or FDI's.We all know that Retail stores in India are meant only for the uper class / economy class, can we see anyone from rural India over the retail outlets or any retail outlets set in Rural India.Never,India is still sleeping and trying to cope up with the developed countries.First lets ensure that 100% of the Indians are economically forward and create opportunities for any MNC's or FDI's in India.

I want to ask one question, can you find any rural indian working in WAL-MART,you wont find this, why that,we should change the system. To sum up,I would like to say that any retail stores operating in india shouls see wheather they are really creating road for the rural indians to buy any products.I'm really proud of many Indian Companies like HLL,ITC,GODREJ etc., whose sales figure crosses more than 60% only form rural market. The Government should take steps to ensure that the prices of stuff in the retail stores are lowered down, which can be beneficial to all classes of the society and the corporate Sector should put forth the views what I suggested.

Indian Shores Florida-Great Buys in Real Estate-Relaxed Atmosphere-Scenic Shorelines

Once part of the barrier island town, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores? history began in 1949 when the south shore of the island broke off to become a town of its own. It carried the name Indian Rocks Beach South Shore Beach until 1973, when the town council voted to shorten the name to Indian Shores. With a population of less than 2,000 year round residents, Indian Shore offers a relaxed atmosphere, scenic shorelines and wonderful weather to anyone looking for a new home ? or a home away from home.

As small as it is, Indian Shores is home to some of the best area restaurants with cuisine ranging from surf and turf specials to upscale Scandinavian and Italian restaurants. The town is a haven for adults, with children under 18 in less than 10% of the town?s households. The wide stretches of beach and proximity to nearby cities, though, offer an enormous range of fun activities for any resident or visitor.

Located on the southern shore of one of the Gulf Coast?s barrier islands, Indian Shores is just under three miles long, and has beaches facing either the Gulf Coast or the Intercoastal Waterway. The small town boasts more than twenty beach accesses, and has benefited from a recent beach nourishment project that added tons of fine white sand to the already beautiful beaches. Originally developed as a playground for the wealthy in the 1920s, Indian Shores remains a popular beach destination with beachfront cottages, condominiums, and second homes in abundance.

Real estate prices in Pinellas County where Indian Shores is located, enjoyed a recent spike that combined with historically low mortgage rates to spark new home development and speculative investors. In the past year, however, housing prices have stabilized and started to drop slightly, making this an ideal time to buy a home in Indian Shores. Projections by Wachovia Financial?s economic unit predict that housing prices will stabilize and begin to rise again at more normal rates, and that the strong economy and low unemployment rates will keep the area prosperous.

In short, with interest rates and housing prices poised to rise over the next several months to a year, there?s no better time to be buying a home ? either as a primary residence or as a second home or vacation rental ? in this beautiful, quiet community on the Florida Gulf Coast known as Indian Shores.

Tax Saving With Home Loan In India

?Saving Tax? on your income is always a spot of interest for each one of us and why not when there is a legal way?

Saving Tax is easier under Indian Income Tax Act if one opts for the home loan. There are two sections of Indian Income Tax which allow you to avail this benefit.

1) Indian Income Tax Act 1961, Section 24 (B)

2) Indian Income Tax Act 1961, Section 80 (C..)

If proper investments are made then you can get a total deduction of Rs. 2.5 lacs per year. Under section 24, one can save up to Rs. 1.5 Lacs and under section 80 save up to Rs. 1 Lacs.

The Section 24(b) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 is applicable on Home loan for purchase of house or construction of the house property. You can avail a deduction of up to Rs. 1,50,000 of you total tax liability, Also reconstruction or renewal or repairs is eligible for deductions under the said section.

The Section 80(c) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 allows you a deduction of up to Rs. 1,00,000 on the principal repayment amount.

Example

Suppose your total taxable income is Rs. 6,00,000.

Hence now your total taxable income becomes only (6 - 2.5 - 1 Lacs) and that saves a lot of money!

With property rates increasing at 300% an year, literally tripling your asset worth in an year, makes investment in property a nice avenue for "guaranteed profits" on investments. To make it even better you can save on taxes if you purchase a property for self -- through the loan mechanism.

Saving Tax is legal and has never been easier.
